Playing a costumed comic book character isn’t new for Taylor-Johnson, who previously starred as the title character in Kick-Ass and its sequel. Still, Avengers: Age of Ultron is a much more high-profile performance. Speaking with Jami, the actor revealed that he was persuaded to join by writer-director Joss Whedon.

“Just before I started Godzilla I met Joss,” he explained. “He said to me, ‘Do you want to be in Avengers 2? There is a super hero I’m thinking of for you.’ The thing for me was for him, ‘Why add any more super heroes to this thing?’ He said, ‘No, there are these two characters that I want to bring in to like fuck with the Avengers and not be just an add on.’ He told me a little bit about the writing and I said that the only reason I would want to do it is if it is a character that can still stand out.”

“You know, you’ve got five of the most awesome super heroes, ten I suppose, there are about ten Avengers now, and they are all movie stars,” Taylor-Johnson continued. “You’ve got such a huge cast, what the hell difference is it going to make if I come on the scene? So it was the character and that took about a year of going back and forth about it. It took a while but I’m super happy to be in that one.” READ MORE AT iamrogue.com

AT-J: Wow. That’s an interesting critic, that person.

Aaron about being a father – By covermg.com
Q: How is it being a father? It must be difficult given that you seem to work so much?

I don’t know if it’s a good thing that people think I’m that busy but I just do one film a year. This took five months to shoot which was the biggest film I’ve ever done. I’m now doing Avengers but other than that I’m at home, really. I actually think I get more time at home with my kids than most people who have a 9 to 5 job. My family is the love of my life and my priority to me. My family is the best thing in my life. I love being a father and the responsibilities and duties that come with it – it’s the most rewarding thing in life. The more you put in the more you get out. I learn so much more from my kids than from anybody else.
